The 2024 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to John Hopfield and Geoffrey Hinton, who laid the foundations of artificial intelligence theory. Their pioneering research has shaped the development of modern AI, which has now become an essential tool for solving complex scientific problems. This seminar explores the evolution of early AI models into advanced machine learning and deep learning technologies and examines how these innovations address key challenges in physics, particularly in materials science, fluid dynamics, and environmental modeling. 

 In materials science, AI accelerates the discovery of new materials and predicts their properties, leading to transformative advancements. In fluid dynamics, AI opens new possibilities for precise modeling and prediction of complex fluid flows. Furthermore, in environmental modeling, AI enhances large-scale data analysis for tasks such as climate change simulations. Through this convergence, AI—combined with physics-driven insights—shows potential as a powerful tool for accelerating scientific discovery and tackling future scientific challenges.
