ㅁ초록:
- The physics of twisted bilayer graphene and other moire 2D materials has emerged as an active field of research in condensed matter physics during recent years. In this talk I will present the historical background for the development of twistronics since the advent of graphene research two decades ago, and highlight the main ideas behind common electronic structure calculation models for studying moire materials. We discuss the twisted bilayer graphene and rhombohedral trilayer graphene on hexagonal boron nitride as two example systems where it is possible to achieve very narrow bands where strong Coulomb interaction effects are expected.
