■ Abstract: In this talk I will describe new methods to create and manipulate layered

                    heterostructures of 2D materials. These include: next-generation CVD synthesis of

                    graphene; synthesis of in-plane graphene/hBN heterostructures; controlled layer-by-

                    layer oxidation and thinning; and creation of rotatable heterostructures. I will also

                    describe some of the new results obtained with these heterostructures in basic science

                    and applications.
